Sukree Othman – A consistent and steady climb up the world golf rankings

Sukree Othman is one of the professional Malaysian golfers who have played in many tournaments around the world as well as within the local circuit. His most recent performance was in the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) ASEAN PGA Melaka Championship in 2014 where he produced some of the most remarkable performances of his career that spanned many years.

Potential identified early on

Sukree had previously won the 2013 PGM Perlis Classic where he took home the win with a 5-stroke victory, beating the likes of Mohd Illya Jamil and Shaifubari Muda. Among the many Malaysian golfers, Sukree can be said to have one of the most illustrious careers has he has competed in countless events. In 2011, he won the PGM Harvard Classic which was held at the Harvard Golf and Country Club in Sungai Petani Kedah.

Victory in 2007 and counting

What made the victory so significant was the fact that he had not won a title for the previous 4 years since turning professional in 2007. For that win, he rose to the top of the PGM Tour’s Order of Merit involving 5 tournaments with a RM38,356 winning.

Sukree is mostly involved in the local tournaments where he had played in the PGM tour like the Templer Park Masters, Johor Championship, MIDF KLGCC Masters and LADA Langkawi Masters, among many more.

Apart from that, he has been involved in the Maybank Malaysian Open several times as well as the Solaire Open. Other tournaments that he played include the Venetian Open in Macau, the Iskandar Johor Open and several others.
