    Selangor Masters was inaugurated in 2008 and saw participation from Malaysian rising golfers such as Iain Steel, Danny Chia and Airil Rizman Zahari. A total of RM1 million was offered for the championship. There were 144 players in the tournament. Four selected amateurs will play in the event after going through a qualifying round.
