Royal Selangor Club or also commonly referred to as Kelab DiRaja Selangor is a reputable social club established by British in 1884. Ideally situated right next to Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka), the club is accessible via Jalan Raja. Perhaps, it is more famously known as the host for a number of matches such as ICC U-19 Cricket World Club.
Continuous and untimely effort to enhance the club's reputation in order to turn it into a national heritage building and institution since its inception was a success as it has gained royal status from Selangor Sultan's, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. Being the country's oldest club, Sultan of Selangor declared that the institution remained forever during the 100th years celebration.
