Which is the most suitable golf ball for you – Part 2

    For the beginner
If you are a novice golfer who is starting out in the game and learning the trades, then you should go for the cheapest golf balls first. This is because, the most important thing for beginners is to learn how to hit right, therefore the quality of the golf ball need not be of the expensive type at the moment. Like it or not, your swing would most likely be pretty bad for now and until you reach a point where you master your grip and swings, your primary concern now is how not to lose the ball. So get the cheapest balls possible and get your swings right. You will notice that there are people setting up stalls leading to some of the golf clubs around where they sell you a bag of golf balls and that would be the ideal choice.

So when do you actually move towards a more intermediate level where you will have to start considering the type of golf ball to use? This is where you start losing about only 2 to 3 golf balls per round that you know you are ready for the next level.

    For the intermediate golfer
This is where you will have to start considering questions like what you intend to get out of your game. By this time, you would be able to grip your clubs right and get the correct swing which you will like. So at this point you will now need to consider the type of golf ball to use because it will make or break your game, improve or deteriorate. Rule of thumb here is that you are no longer interested in looking at the price of the ball. Use balls that will be able give you distance using moderate and slower swings and this would be the 2 piece low compression balls like the Titleist DT Solo. For better performance, the Titleist NXTicon might be a choice.

    For the advanced player

Now if you are ready to go another stage up you will now need to use better balls, ideally those with multilayer construction and that would be the likes of the Titleist Pro V1icon. This is because naturally the multilayer setup here would skew your game towards your style. That’s why it is important for you to feel the ball whether or not it is a soft or hard cover ball in order to accommodate your swing to it and vice versa. So there you have it, the different types of balls for the different level golfers, choose your ball right and it will get your game right.
