Winnie Ng Yu Xuan has had a remarkable run so far in her golf career.
The amateur golfer from Kuala Lumpur was recently selected into the MGA (Malaysian Golf Association) National Team Players List 2020/2021.
She started playing golf when she was very young and in 2014 represented Malaysia to play in the South East Asia Golf Team Championship.
In 2015, she won the Kelantan Amateur Open which would be her first title.
After that, she went on to win more titles at various states’ amateur and junior amateur opens. She then won her ticket to play at the prestigious Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia in 2016 and 2017.
She then won the Best Malaysian Finisher and Best Amateur.
A former student at Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar, she has since further her studies in the United States.
Her remarkable run puts her in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking which is no easy feat in this highly competitive sport.
