Rhaasrikanesh Kanavathi went to the SMK Methodist ACS Klang before continuing his studies overseas through the US College Scholarship ticket.
Rhaasrikanesh has a strong reputation in the sport where he was the former Malaysian Amateur Golfer of the Year 2016 and was previously nominated for 2017’s Malaysian Junior Golfer of the Year. In 2016, he completed 12 tournaments in the top 10 which was extremely remarkable for a young golfer.
He had also won the Kejohanan MSMM Tournament and the 2017 Kedah Amateur Open.
Besides that, Rhaasrikanesh also won the 2019 Kelantan Amateur Open while finishing second at SUKMA.
His more recent tournaments include finishing 6 at the 2021 WAC Men’s Golf Championship in the United States, 29 at The Big Texan, 19 at the 2021 GCU Invitational and 27 at the 2021 Colin Montgomerie Invitational.
At the 2019 SEA Games held in the Philippines, he finished at 9 place while finishing at 18 at the Mark Hartford Hawk Invitational and 8 at the 2019 Johor Amateur Open.
