In 2019, Malaysian junior golfer Ashley Goh won the Girls Division overall title at the Singapore Junior Golf Championship. This is a great achievement to add to Ashley’s already illustrious career that saw her participating in many high-profile tournaments.
Charting her way up the points
In the last 5 years, Ashley has been actively involved in the golfing circuit not only locally by across the region. The Johor Bahru-born girl went to the SMK Sultan Ismail and continued her studies in the United States at the Central Michigan University. She has played against some of the top players in her category like Angel Hii and Foong Zi Yu where they are all selected into the Malaysian Team for 2020/2021 by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) for upcoming events around the golfing circuit of the region.
Tournaments and events
Ashley’s participation in golfing tournaments has been second to none as she accumulates honors and experience along the way. In 2018, she finished fourth at the Kartini Cup held in Myanmar. She then finished top in the 2019 SportExcel Junior Premier Elite – 1st and 3rd Leg and then runner-up at the 2019’s TSM Golf Challenge. That same year saw her winning the Singapore Junior Championship as well which is one of her best achievements to date. At the Penang Amateur Open, she finished second while closing in on third at the 2020 Malaysian Junior Closed & SportExcel Malaysian Premier Elite Grand Finals and the 2020 Faldo Series Malaysia Championship.
