Kevin Na the Korean golfer is looking to win the Northern Trust Open at the currently ongoing Riviera Country Club and if he does will dedicate the win to his ill father. Na’s father was his caddie when he first burst into the spotlight by winning the 2002 Volvo Masters of Asia. At that time, he was 19 years old making him the third youngest winner in the tour’s history.
His father is now currently ailing from leukemia but is watching his son closely at the tour where he made 7 birdies and a 4 under-par 67 during the tour’s third round. Yong Na was diagnosed with the sickness last year and is nursing in South Korea where he met a doctor who seemingly have an effective recovery plan for the 57 year old. Na junior said that he is confident that if he continues to play well he could win the tournament for his father who ‘taught him how to play golf’.
