Malaysian golfer Anis Helmy Hassan has been a professional golfer for four years since 2006. However, he has yet to gain popularity except for the second place award clinched at the Indonesian Open.
Making inroads as a young golfer
Besides Anis, golf runs very much in his family especially for his two other siblings, Noel Faizal and Noeline Suehana who are avid golfers themselves. Over the past few years, Anis has participated in various golf tournaments and has been recognized for his success after being identified as one of the top sponsorships in the game.
Recognition and accolades for Anis
At the two-day Maybank Malaysian Open 2010, he emerged as the top on the board for National Qualifying Tournament along with four other local golfers. During the four years career in the golf industry, he was awarded two Power Plate Machines – technologies to enhance fitness that in return will help to boost and improve his performance. This helped him to prepare for the Mercedes-Benz Masters Philippines which was held at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in the Philippines then. The sponsorship came from UFL or Universal Fitness and Leisure and the Golf Club KL City Centre.
Anis stated that the machine has helped him to improve physically and was confident that he will be able to join more competitions in the coming years. The training machines have been used by some of the top Pro players in the world including Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie and Tiger Woods himself. Anis came under the training of coaches John Daniels and Noel Abu Hassan at the Golf Club KL City Centre, Seri Selangor and KRTU.
