In March 2019, Junie Khaw was named the ‘Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week’ after her remarkable performance at the University of Central Oklahoma. She made 22 pars and 4 birdies in that game.
Rising Junior Star
With her exposure and experience, it will be no surprise if Junie rises above the ranks to be one of the top golfers in the country. Currently in the Junior category, Junie Khaw has been actively involved in developing her career in golf. Born in 1999, Junie used to play High School Golf at the Damansara Jaya Secondary School.
Winning in golf comes naturally
In her freshman year, Junie helped Tarleton win the Line Star Conference Championship. In the course of achieving that feat, she had a 75.2 average scoring record and managed 7 top-20 finishes in which twice finished in the top. She was also named the Golfer of the Week several times. She would go on to continue this run when she was in the first team of the All-Lone Star Conference during her sophomore year. She also competed at the NCAA West Regional Tournament in the singles while improved her average score to 76.6. That year, she won the Tarleton Invitational and the Oklahoma Intercollegiate while taking home the LSC Golfer of the Week twice.
