Muhd Ikhmal Basri previously represented the UUM (Universiti Utara Malaysia) Golf Academy (AGNUUM) and won the New Era Hainan Junior Golf Tour 2019 (Malaysia Leg) for the U19 Men’s Category at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, Shah Alam.
He has since been picked and selected into the National Team Players 2020/2021 by the Malaysian Golf Association. He also finished 52 at 2020 PGM Glenmarie Championship and 13 at the 2020 Sarawak Chief Minister Cup. At the 2019 Negeri Sembilan Amateur Open, Muhd Ikhmal finished at 7 and enjoyed success at the 2019 Penang Amateur Open where he finished second.
