Malaysian golfer Paul San recently finished T2 at the BNI Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament in Jakarta where he recorded his personal’s best ever in the ADT (Asian Development Tour).
The 25-year-old golfer, who turned pro in 2019 and saw his progress disrupted by the pandemic went on to a closing 68, finishing with a 20-under-par where he birdied his last 2 holes.
He finished one shot behind Suteepat Prateptienchai of Thailand who went on to win the tournament held at the Damai Indah Golf’s BSD Course in Jakarta.
San finished tied in T2 with Suttepat’s compatriot Chonlatit Chuenboonngam and Lloyd Jefferson Go of the Philippines. This would be Suteepat’s first title on the Asian Tour.
Chonlatit meanwhile, who won the Geulis Invitational the week before, was going for back-to-back titles failed to win this but however still maintain his top rank at the ADT Order of Merit. The T2 placing means San is now 14th in the ranking.
Meanwhile, Paul’s countryman Ervin Chang finished T14 with 12-under-par, the spot he shared with Shahriffuddin Ariffin of Malaysia as well.
Next up will be the BRG Open Golf Championship at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort in Vietnam which promises a US$75,000 prize.
