There will be an increase of places for the Asian Tour next year from 7 to 10.
This means that the best 10 players at the 2022 ADT (Asian Development Tour) OOM (Order of Merit) will get their tickets into next year’s Asian Tour.
The CEO of the Asian Tour said that it has always been among its main priorities to give players more playing opportunities and a viable career pathway in their progress.,
Prior to this, the 7 best players on the final ADT Order of Merit will be given the places at the Asian Tour of the preceding season which means there will be 3 more places this time around.
The ADT has been among the important platforms for countless players including Joohyung Kim of Korea and John Caitlin from the United Sates.
The former is the current champion of the Asian Tour Order of Merit while the latter is the Asian Tour’s four-time winner.
The added spots would surely mean added incentive and motivation for the ADT players to push harder.
The ADT had its 11th event of the season recently in Da Nang, Vietnam during the BRG Open Golf Championship which was won by Chen Gu Xin of China.
Its next round will be at the OB Golf Invitational slated to be held in Indonesia in mid-September before heading out to the Combiphar Players Championship before the Saudi Open.
