Ng Jing Xuen – Youngest Perak Amateur Open win with promises of more to come

At the age of only 11, Ng Jing Xuen won the Perak Men and Ladies Amateur Open 2019. She would then be (and still is) the youngest player to win the championship in her category. Since then, Jing Xuen has achieved remarkable results in the golfing circuit across the region.

Moving steadily into her golf career

Playing for the first time at the Meru Valley Resort, it would provide the toughest challenge for Jing Xuen then as compared to her earlier experiences at the Penang and Pahang Amateur Opens. She however performed excellently when she overcame the pressure and took home the Blue Ribbon title. This would then propel her to greater heights as she continued on her path to more titles and tournaments.

Tournaments and Events

Jing Xuen has been selected into the Malaysia Team 2020/2021 which is no easy feat for a golfer as young as her. She joins the ranks among some of the top amateur golfers of the country but does so with a strong reputation herself. Jing Xuen who goes to school at the SJKC Wangsa Maju recently won the 2019 Perak Amateur Open. She finished as runner-up at the Negeri Sembilan Amateur Open and was part of the team that played at the MGA vs SGA Annual Match. She played and finished second at the 2020 2nd Leg SportExcel-Milo-NSC Malaysian Junior Premier Elite Golf Circuit, which she then finished top at the third and fourth legs of this event later. She would also later finish third at the UUMISM-MALGA Amateur Golf Series (I).
