Ping G – The Ping G is priced around the same as other drivers. At RM1,600, this could well be your most affordable driver in your bag. Swing it hard enough and see who well it produces forgiveness while getting very good distance.

Top Drivers you must have this year

Callaway Great Big Bertha – Priced at RM1,800, the Callaway Big Bertha is a light and very stable driver which not only does its job well but looks good too. Coming from a top brand like Callaway, you will not like it any other way and the lightweight body will be your perfect companion, especially if you like to practice your swings before hitting.

Cobra King F6 – The Cobra King F6 is perhaps the most affordable and practical driver to date. It is not too expensive with a well-balanced head. From its long shaft to the tip of the driver, this club exudes class and all that comes with it. Pull it out of your bag and watch others glee with envy.

Srixon Z355 – This is one of the best game improvement drivers around. The Srixon Z355 is priced around RM1,400 which is in the middle bracket among the higher and lower priced ones. If you like distance, then the Z355 is your perfect choice because it gets a lot of aerial when hit perfectly. Beginners will like this which apart from delivering well, looks quite decent too.

Nike Vapor Fly Pro – This would perhaps be one of the most unique drivers you should be playing with. It has a great design to it with sharp colours and a lot of leverage when you tend to hit the ball hard. Definitely a looker in its own category.

Callaway XR 16 – With at least 2 participants in the top drivers list for 2016, Callaway’s XR 16 is a sight to behold and surely a great way to play. It has one of the best forgiveness in its class and no one even comes close.

TaylorMade M2 – Being in the same price bracket as the Ping G, TaylorMade’s M2 comes very close as among the best in this category. Gives the ball very good height when hit correctly while mis-hits can sometimes be mistaken as perfect hits too. This is what makes the M2 such a great driver which is perfect if you are learning to improve your hits.

Titleist 915 D2 – Using a Titleist usually tell others that you know what you like and that you appreciate class and quality. The Titleist 915 D2 does what it is designed to do and is a great club for both beginners and experienced players.

Mizuno JPX-EZ – Every time the Japanese brand is mentioned, it will turn heads. Priced around RM1,600, the JPX-EZ is a great driver to have if you are looking for accuracy and a club which is sturdy and balanced.

Tour Edge Exotics EX9 – At RM1,200, the Tour Edge Exotics EX9 is on the cheaper end but it does not compromise on quality. You get a good distance with this driver and very good forgiveness especially if you tend to mis-hit. It has a very modern design to it which tends to make heads turn when you take it out of the bag.

Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 – Not the easiest driver to use for beginners but the Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 gives a lot of leverage if you know how to control your hit properly. To begin with, it has very good forgiveness which makes the FG an upper hand for those who are not good with perfect hits.

Bridgestone JGR – This is one of the few drivers that require some getting used to. It is not as expensive as some within the same group but it delivers where it matters. Good distance control and great forgiveness, the JGR is able to maintain your shot when it matters.
