Noraishah Che Omar is one of the rising stars in ladies’ golf from Malaysia. She has 2 other sisters who are also in the golfing circuit.
Serious about golf and sports
Noraishah had in 2018 joined Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia) together with 4,000 other students. At the university, she took up a degree in Sports Science. UKM is one of the institutes of higher learning known for its excellent golfing facilities which is ideal to help Noraishah excel and improve in her game. According to her mother, Noraishah showed an interest in golf from a young age and she has since grown in her career in this sport.
Steady rise in golf
A holder of the PGM (Professional Golf of Malaysia) card, she was among those who participated in the 2018 Avondale Amateur Open which was held at the Avondale Golf Club in NSW (New South Wales) in Australia. She joined the competition through MALGA (Malaysian Ladies Golf Association) together with her 2 other sisters as well as other golfers Qistina Balqis and Liyana Durisic. In 2019, Noraishah joined the Negeri Sembilan Closed Championships at the Port Dickson Golf and Country Club.
