In 2019, Malaysian golfer Amir Nazrin was the top in the PGM (Professional Golf of Malaysia) Tour Final Order of Merit. This was his first that year and more was to follow.
Turning Pro and making more inroads
Amir turned pro in 2017 and achieved that feat when he finished T18 at the Taifong Open which was part of the Asian Development Tour. He did so when he took home slightly more than RM150,000 in 2019 alone which was followed very closely by another Malaysian golfer Jeremiah Kim.
Malaysian Open and other tournaments
A year before that, Amir Nazrin carded a 4-under par 68 at the Maybank Golf Championship which was held at the Saujana Golf and Country Club. Meanwhile, he was also involved at the 2019 Penang Championship which was won by Japan’s Naoki Sekito where Amir finished fifth. That same year saw Amir performing well above his average at the PGM Northport ADT Championship while winning the Darulaman Championship at the Darulaman Golf and Country Club amidst controversial circumstances.
