S Sivanchandran is among the earliest golfers to put Malaysia on the world map. He has been actively participating in tournaments for more than 15 years now.
Winning the 2014 PGM
Due to heavy rain that made it impossible for a playoff, S Sivachandran was declared the joint winner of the 2014 PGM (Professional Golf of Malaysia) Tour’s Kinrara Closed Championship together with another top Malaysian player, R Nachimuthu. This was just one of the many achievements that Sivachandran had enjoyed in the golfing circuit. Prior to that, the Seri Selangor Golf Club or SSGC were his sponsors back in 2010 while he was also part of the group of Malaysian golfers who were sponsored by Sime Darby Group at the 2011’s Maybank Malaysian Open.
Tournaments and Achievements
Sivachandran also played in the 2015 Maybank Malaysian Open having come through being a 3-time winner of the PGM (Professional Golf of Malaysia) Tour. Among the events that he had previously played in include:
- 2019 PGM Sabah ADT Championship – Finished T24
- 2018 PGM UMW Championship – Finished T29
- 2018 PGM Northport Championship – Finished T27
- 2018 PGM Penang Championship – Finished T27
- 2018 PGM Darulaman Championship – Finished T16
