Such a role will require the PGAM to conduct or establish golfing schools or coaching facilities so that more Malaysians will take up and love the game.

Tournaments and Events

One of the significant events carried out by the PGAM is the Satellite Tour which was first held in 2021. The event was an 18-hole game held at the Danau Golf Club before moving to the next 2 legs at Impian Golf Club and the Seri Selangor Golf Club respectively.

While the prize money was much smaller as compared to the other tournaments, it had very good and encouraging participation. The events are all played over 18 holes.

Participants need to be PGAM professionals and amateurs who are above 13 years of age with USGA handicaps of below 7.
