Malaysian No.1 Golfer Gavin Green looks to end the season at the DP World Tour Championship

Malaysia’s No.1 golfer Gavin Green, who has almost secured his DP World Tour (European Tour) for 2023, is aiming to get into the DP World Tour Championship.

Gavin has been performing exemplarily in the last few European tournaments including the D+D Real Czech Master where he finished in T2 which saw him securing 66th place in the DP World Tour Rankings.

The DP World Tour Championship is set to be held at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai in November 17 with the Nedbank Golf Challenge set to be held a week earlier in South Africa.

Gavin will have to perform well to get into the top 50 in the rankings after the Nedbank Golf Challenge in order to qualify for the DP World Tour Championship with a lucrative USD10 million prize money.

Having already made it for the 2023 season, Gavin is now looking to up his game in order to get into the top 50 for the year which means he needs to better his standings in the coming weeks.

It was back in 2020 when Gavin last played at the DP World Tour Championship when he finished 52nd in the rankings then.

He has been training hard with his coach Chris O’Donnell with changes to his swing recently. The training has been very effective where they have been sharing videos while Gavin went to watch O’Donnell play on the PGA Tour recently.

He will be heading to Denmark next to play in the Made in Himmerland tournament while he has yet to confirm what is going to happen next after a rigorous few weeks recently.

After his D+D Czech Masters runner-up finish, Gavin played at the International Series Singapore (Asian Tour) while finishing T38 at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland.

The D+D saw the tournament reduced to 54 holes due to the heavy downpour with Gavin starting the final round leading with 3-shots and then shooting a 10-foot birdie putt on the final hole
