The state of Pahang is perhaps one of the naturally rich states in Peninsular Malaysia. Located within the centre area of the Peninsular, it offers a wide variety of attractions that include some of the oldest rainfrorests in the world as well as many highlands like Genting Highlands, Frasers Hills and Cameron Highlands. Apart from that, it is also home to some of the major seaside resorts with the likes of Teluk Chempedak and such.

As a large portion of the land in Pahang are still very much unchartered while some are being used for plantations, there are many places to go if you are an avid golfer. You can choose to head towards the luxurious Golf Courses located within reach of the major towns here like Kuantan, its state capital and Pekan or towards the higher lands of Cameron Highlands and Fraser’s Hill or towards the beach side where you can enjoy the cooling sea breeze around the Cherating beach areas.

The Astana Golf and Country Club is located in Kuantan where it is known to be one of the most popular Golf Courses here. The Lanjut Golf and Beach Resort is located in Rompin where you can enjoy the greens within the seaside view on its Lu Liang Huang designed, 18 hole stretch. At Pantai Lagenda Golf and Country Club is where you will be able to tee off at the Pekan town while the Royal Pahang Golf Club is known to be one of the most prestigious course in Malaysia. It is an 18-hole course which was designed by Jimmy Fah.

The Selesa Hill Homes host the Health Farm Golf Resort where it offers an 18 hole course designed by Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Abdul Majidbin Ismail located in Bentong. If you head up towards Genting Highlands, you can enjoy a game of golf in its rich and lush landscape midway towards the City of Entertainment. Located not far from here is the Bukit Tinggi Golf and Country Club. The Cameron Highlands Golf Club is one of the most popular places to enjoy your game in Tanah Rata. Alternatively you can also head towards the Rodger Davis designed, 18 hole course at the Fraser’s Hill Golf Club.

Pahang is known for being the home to Taman Negara and the likes of Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands. As such, nothing beats having a game of golf in the highlands while enjoying the cool weather of the surroundings.
