Kenneth De Silva is one of the rising Malaysian golfers who has been actively involved in the tournament circuit. The Melaka-born player is said to have loved golf from a tender young age of 5 when he went to the driving range with his father.
Bursting into the scene
Kenneth had his breakthrough into professional golf in 2012 during the PGM Sarawak Masters. In 2015, he joined the PGM (Professional Golf of Malaysia) Tour’s Kinrara Championship which he won against some of the top Malaysian golfers such as Sukree Othman and R Nachimuthu. He would then be part of the 15 golfers selected to participate in the Maybank Championship in 2016, another feat he repeated in 2018. Kenneth has been consistently been involved in most of the major tournaments in the circuit where he had a good run at the 2014 PGM ASEAN Port Dickson Championship as well.
